The municipality of Krivogastani is recognized for its agricultural production, especially for the production of capsicum. In order to valorize pepper-kapia as one of the most recognizable components of the gastronomy in Krivogastani and more broadly at the regional and national level, the municipality organizes a local event for the promotion of pepper production and processing of pepper agricultural products

This event will bring together numerous exhibitors of pepper producers and many other local products. Local gastronomy will be presented through food and drink, and our cultural and historical heritage will be presented through dance and song. This event will present the rich tradition of the municipality, which makes the municipality of Krivogastni unique and special.

Our country is known for the production of pepper. Pepper has gradually grown into an irreplaceable ingredient of European cuisines, and especially of Balkan cuisines, and here our country stands out in particular, where pepper is processed into ajvar, a delicious spread that is our distinctive feature.

For ajvar, you need a special pepper cap, and the largest production of capia is in the region of Krivogastani, where the processing industry for ajvar and other pepper products is located.

This year the event will be organized in the center of Krivogastani 31-st of August. Stands will be set up where products from individual producers, domestic producers, traditional products prepared by women in the municipality of Krivogastani as well as products from the agricultural sector will be presented. Which operates on the territory of the municipality of Krivogashtani.

As part of the event, the preparation of „Ajvar“in a traditional Macedonian way will be shown in order to show the traditional uniqueness of this product. The event will be enriched with a culturally entertaining program where the cultural and historical heritage of the municipality of Krivogastani will be presented through dance and song.
