BEACH FILM FESTIVAL (BFF) promotes and celebrates European cinema's latest achievements. The festival is an interdisciplinary event focused on the development and presentation of the newest European films. The program is intended for people of all ages, with special emphasis on a younger intellectual audience, interested in film or engaged with contemporary European culture. The idea is to use the summer period and the beach as a social phenomenon for exchanging experiences and discussions in a more relaxed way, without the urban pressures or any time-space inhibitors.

This year’s festival will happen from 19 - 23 July, at different locations around the city of Ohrid.

The main program will take place on the beach Slavia, where a huge screen will be placed and the audience will enjoy fife nights of film screenings of the official competition. After the screenings, there will be Q&A’s with the filmmakers, after which a party will take place, usually DJ set, or concert of young rock band.

The other locations where our festival will take place is the playground by the famous beach Saraishta, at the centre of Ohrid, where this year we will screen films of our country in focus France. The boat Armada is our third location, where parts of the official competition will be screened. This experience is unique, allowing our audience to enjoy cruising the beautiful Ohrid Lake while watching films. From this year we have a new location, the Ohrid Youth Centre, placed in the object Kasarna (old military barracks). It is a peaceful place where the young audience can have a chill moment of watching films and interaction.
